All New Showcase
Comics, movies, TV shows -- it's like having a comic shop argument with your best friends.

Memorial Day Weekend is racing towards us, and that means it's time for the annual Showcase Summer Movie Preview. Blake and Erin cruise through IMDB's "Coming Soon" pages this week to talk about Avengers: Age of Ultron and several other movies that will not make as much money as Avengers: Age of Ultron. We go from the blockbusters-in-the-making like Jurassic World, Tomorrowland and San Andreas to movies like Trainwreck, in which the reviews seem to write themselves. Also: Erin shows her street cred and Blake bemoans the state of modern horror!

And what's cool this week? "Wait For the Trade" reader Erin has gotten heavily into Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye, while weekly comic junkie Blake enjoyed the heck out of Convergence #2 and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #2.

Blake is back! After a short discussion of his absence, and a sincere thank-you to those who helped raise his spirits during his hospital stay, we get into the first week of DC's Convergence event. What happens when the heroes of DC's pre-Flashpoint universe encounter those from other worlds? Wally West! A pregnant Lois Lane! Captain Carrot! There's good stuff here, guys.

And what's cool this week? Only two episodes in, Blake is totally won over by Marvel's first Netflix series, Daredevil.

Shocking the world, this week Disney and Sony announced an unprecedented arrangement to bring Spider-Man home to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this mini-episode, Blake talks about what it means for the future of Spidey, for the MCU, and how another property that was recently relaunched with a successful film, then followed up by a disappointing sequel, may be just the thing to combine with Spider-Man.

And what's cool this week? Spider-Verse wraps up in Amazing Spider-Man #14 and 1000 years of history are on display in Justice League 3000 #14

The convention tour has started again, and this week the Showcase gang walks the floor of Wizard World New Orleans 2015. Blake, Erin, Mike and Kenny talk about some of their finds, the challenge of collectible-diving, and ask the true burning question: are we reaching a saturation point for comic book conventions?

And what's cool this week? Mike is making his way through Dexter and Batman: Zero Year, Kenny is a fan of Gotham, Erin reading Tale of the Body Thief and watching Breaking Bad, and Blake had fun with Ant-Man #1.

And what's cool this week? Blake is enjoying the hell out of DC's LEGO variant covers, and from a story standpoint, is surprisingly into Spider-Verse.

A few weeks ago, Warner Bros announced their slate of planned DC Comics movies through 2020. Not to be outdone, Marvel hit us with Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe a few days later. With Sony and Fox joining the fray with their licenses, there are over three dozen superhero movies in the works that we know of. This week, the Showcasers talk about the movies that have been announced -- which ones are we excited for? Which ones have us a bit concerned? And which ones will surprise us if the cameras ever actually roll?

And what's cool this week? Kenny is into the Constantine TV show, Erin is making her way through Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, and Blake gives props to Rocket Raccoon #5 and Tooth & Claw #1.
