The Tolkiening of America continues this week as the Showcase guys take in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. In a (mostly) spoiler-free discussion, the guys talk about how the movie diverges from the book, how they feel about the additions to the original story, and their overall feelings about the film.

Not gonna lie, guys, we needed the RiffTrax crew to get us through that one.

And what's cool this week? Blake is still jazzed about the new Astro City, and talks about the new storyline that kicked off with issue #7.

This week, the upcoming Man of Steel sequel got another confirmed cast member -- Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman! Predictably, the internet started to have a hissy fit. This week, Blake takes on the Wonder Woman Whiners, as well as those getting huffy over Indiana Jones, and asks for your suggestions for this year's Showcase Christmas Marathon.

And what's cool this week? It's a triple dose of cool with Earth 2 #18, Amazing X-Men #2 and Disney's newest animated film, Frozen.

It's an event fifty years in the making: Blake and Erin gush over the Doctor Who anniversary special The Day of the Doctor! In a spoiler-saturated discussion they talk about John Hurt, the return of David Tennant, Easter Eggs and surprises galore, and exactly what this episode means for the future of the franchise. They also talk the mini-episode prequels The Night of the Doctor and The Last Day; the BBC drama about the creation of the series, An Adventure in Space and Time; and the recently-concluded IDW anniversary series Prisoners of Time.
