All New Showcase (podcasts)
Comics, movies, TV shows -- it's like having a comic shop argument with your best friends.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Carolers are singing, gifts are being wrapped, and there's a new Star Wars movie in theaters! This week, Blake, Erin and Jason take a look at the first standalone movie in the franchise, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

And what's cool this week? Jason has enjoyed the first season of Designated Survivor, while Blake was charmed by the DC Rebirth Holiday Special.

It's time for a Your Turn to Pick movie episode! This week it's Erin's turn, and she'd pulling out a film from her childhood, the 1981 fantasy film Dragonslayer. How does it hold up to an adult pair of eyes? And will Blake (who's never seen it before) enjoy it without the filter of nostalgia?

And what's cool this week? Blake gives us a double dose of comic recommendations with Superman #42 and The Thrilling Adventure Hour Presents Sparks Nevada, Marshall on Mars #4!

Last week, Marvel released their new slate of titles to follow Secret Wars. This week, Blake and Erin peruse the previews and talk about which ones look like they'll be worth reading and which ones they're probably going to pass on. And they also discuss the most important question: just how "all-new, all-different" does it really look like Marvel is getting?

And what's cool this week? Blake is enjoying Bizarro #2 and Will Eisner's The Spirit #1!

It's time for an all-new Showcase feature! Have you ever sat around with your friends, family, or significant other, trying to choose a movie to watch and finally giving up and turning to reruns of The Simpsons? Blake and Erin certainly have. And that's where this new series comes in! In every episode of this irregularly occurring feature, one of your hosts will choose a movie with no input from the other. They'll watch and review it, no matter what it is. The first time up is Erin's turn to pick, and she went with the 1990 Scorcese classic Goodfellas.

And what’s cool this week? Erin has gone crazy over the Japanese mobile game Neko Atsume, while Blake is happy with the end of DC's Convergence.

Free Comic Book Day rolls around once again, and once again Blake and Kenny -- joined for the first time by Erin -- man a table at BSI Comics in Metairie. This time around the gang chats about recent events in the Flash and Gotham TV shows, give their thoughts on Divergence, All New All Different Avengers, Fight Club, Dark Circle and the other Free Comic Book Day titles, and then come back with a review of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

And what's cool this week? Kenny is having a blast with LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Erin is totally biased and chooses her husband's new book Everything You Need to Know to Survive English Class but slightly less biased with a viewing of the classic Akira, and Blake is still reeling from Batman #40.

Memorial Day Weekend is racing towards us, and that means it's time for the annual Showcase Summer Movie Preview. Blake and Erin cruise through IMDB's "Coming Soon" pages this week to talk about Avengers: Age of Ultron and several other movies that will not make as much money as Avengers: Age of Ultron. We go from the blockbusters-in-the-making like Jurassic World, Tomorrowland and San Andreas to movies like Trainwreck, in which the reviews seem to write themselves. Also: Erin shows her street cred and Blake bemoans the state of modern horror!

And what's cool this week? "Wait For the Trade" reader Erin has gotten heavily into Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye, while weekly comic junkie Blake enjoyed the heck out of Convergence #2 and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #2.

Marvel and DC have both made big announcements lately about the big events that are coming down the line, and this week Blake and Erin break them down. We talk about Secret Wars and the announced (so far) crossover titles, DC's Convergence and the June mini-relaunch of the DCU!

And what's cool this week? Erin is all about Sex Criminals Vol. 1 and Blake is into Superman #38 and Abigail and the Snowman #2.

The convention tour has started again, and this week the Showcase gang walks the floor of Wizard World New Orleans 2015. Blake, Erin, Mike and Kenny talk about some of their finds, the challenge of collectible-diving, and ask the true burning question: are we reaching a saturation point for comic book conventions?

And what's cool this week? Mike is making his way through Dexter and Batman: Zero Year, Kenny is a fan of Gotham, Erin reading Tale of the Body Thief and watching Breaking Bad, and Blake had fun with Ant-Man #1.

As November begins, Blake and Erin sit down once again to talk about all the upcoming movies in the big holiday season. What are they looking forward to? What will they avoid like it has the Ebola? What should you see with your loved ones?

And what's cool this week? Erin continues Diana Rowland's series with White Trash Zombie Apocalypse, and Blake doubles up on Fantastic Four #12 and Justice League United #1.

Director Bryan Singer returns to the X-Men franchise with X-Men: Days of Future Past. With the bar for comic book movies raised in recent years, can Marvel's Merry Mutants reach the top again? The guys talk spoiler-free for a while, then put up a spoiler wall for those of you who want to stay clean.

And what's cool this week? Once again, Kenny is a fan of the mobile card game Lies of Astaroth, Jason is bummed out by the cancellation of Revolution, and Blake was impressed with the conclusion to Forever Evil.
